Minutes later, Josh Urquhart sent a free header over the bar from Lewis Taafe's corner, and Billy Bricknell was twice denied by McNamara before half-time.  About 77 minutes, Bricknell was denied by McNamara, and by a speedy break downfield, substitute Barnwell cut in from the left and saw the net to prepare a nervy finish.  The Towners did break the deadlock just before the hour mark, even when a very long throw-in out of Lee Chappell about the left was headed in at the near post by Jeremiah Gyebi.  Before the half dozen mark, Mensah doubled the lead to fashion, his 25-yard hit finding the net following Hillians' keeper Alfie Jones had punched clear.  Close had awarded WGC the ideal start, his sixth-minute header in the corner placing his group in an early lead.  The lead was dropped with three quarters of this game played, and Chappell was the provider, his cross to the far post led home by Sam Youngs.
